My Baby - 20 months!

Seriously, I can't believe my little baby boy is 20 months old!  Where did the time go?  Wasn't it just yesterday the he was eating solid food for the first time?  Everyone always says that the time goes so fast, but you don't really understand, until it happens.  And really, what can you do?  It's not like we can stop time or slow it down?  I try to take in every min as much as I can, but even then, its just so fast.  And yet, I can't remember what my life was like before Colton was in it.

I miss him so much during the week when I'm at work.  Don't get me wrong, I love my job (especially this year!  Woot Woot for one school!), but I am so jealous of the moment who get to stay home with their babies.  Sometimes I feel like I've just too many rolls to play: mommy, wife, teacher, student, daughter, sister, friend, and just me.  I worry that I might be spreading my self too thin.  I didn't even take Colton to a pumpkin patch this year.  He's lucky he even got a pumpkin.  I had plans to go to a pumpkin patch, pick one out, and paint it together, but none of that happened.  Maybe once I'm finished my masters degree life will be easier, but there is only so much you can squeeze in on the weekends.

As much as I despise the cold, I do love fall.  The colors are so beautiful, it not hot anymore, but not cold yet.  I wish we could skip from fall back to spring and just forget winter all together.

So, at 20 months Colton is finally starting to talk a little more.  The words he says regularly: night night, OK, cat, yeah, Mmm(milk), OH (phone), no, yes, cool, done, shoe, again, Mommy, Dada, look, up, down, car, and hat.

He can get on and off the couch now, which he is very proud of.  He seems to understand almost everything we say.  He is starting to learn to put his toys away when he is finished playing with them. He absolutely loves to cuddle on the couch with his bear and blanket.  I think he would do that for hours if we let him.  We are still enjoying walks, at least until it gets colder.  He enjoys running around the yard and finding "treasures".

He's still a very shy little boy, but he warms up pretty quickly.  He loves experiencing new things as long as I'm very close by.  He's not too adventurous, and I'm totally ok with that ;)

He loves to get his picture taken and then look at the picture in the camera.

Overall, he is a very happy little boy!  And what more could a Mommy ask for?
